Thinly potted, deep bowl with gently sloping sides rising from a short straight foot to an unglazed rim (was previously coated with silver), moulded to the interior with two phoenix in flight amongst lotus, below a thin band of key fret pattern. The centre of medallion is a stylized moulded peony trees or bushes, very popular ceramic motif during the Song dynasty. Overall covered with a transparent, light bluish-white tinted glaze, and the network of crackled network is visible in the entire vessel. 6.0 cm, High, 18.8 cm Diameter
