A Rare Pale Blue Ru Ware Foliated Rim Vase, Northern Song and Period (960 - 1127)

Well potted long cylindrical body, supported on a short slight tapered foot, the waisted neck sweeping up to the everted rim, the mouth festooned with five lobed, evenly covered overall in a lustrous pale blue glaze with crackle pattern, thinning to a mushroom colour at the rim of the mouth. Inscription of Song Ru Yao at the bottom of the vases in a dark-brown disc; 18.5 cm. (7.6 Inch) High
