A Rare Large Reverse-Decorated Powder-Blue Sinuous Dragon Dish, Yuan Dynasty (1271 - 1368)

Porcelain with reverse decoration and slight relief on powder blue ground. Well potted with shallow rounded sides resting on a short foot, the interior decorated with a sinuous white dragon typical of Yuan Dynasty. The unglazed bottom reveals clay with burnt reddish blown patches indicating the aging effect of the Goalin clay. Diameter 45cm.
